FAQ

What EPCs ask first.

QUESTIONS

What does Torus do?
Torus drafts complete engineering packages for capital projects: P&IDs, PFDs and heat and material balances, one-lines, datasheets, calculations, specifications and estimates, in your firm's format. Your engineers review and approve every sheet.
Does Torus only check documents?
No. Torus drafts the package. Checking each value against every sheet that carries it is part of how it drafts, so the draft arrives consistent.
How much faster is it?
One EPC timed its engineers drafting the same package with and without Torus. With Torus, its engineers drafted it 9.7x faster.
Who approves the work?
Your engineer. Every sheet is approved before it is issued, and your engineer is credited as the preparer.
Where does every value come from?
Every value is traced to its source: the sheet, revision and line it came from. Change one and the package is redrafted around it.
Can we see a package?
Yes. Two example packages drafted with Torus are published whole and redacted: a gas receipt meter station in 11 volumes and a geothermal well pad drawing set. Open them from the home page.
Where does our data go?
You choose. Managed runs on Torus's secure cloud in an isolated tenant, with data dropped after each request. Sovereign runs inside your own cloud, VPC or servers, and nothing leaves. Torus has completed SOC 2 Type 1; Type 2 is in progress.
